These terms set out the rules for using Canadian Sportsbooks at projectdemocracy.ca. By browsing the site, reading a sportsbook review or following a link to an operator, you accept what is written here. If you do not accept it, please stop using the site.

We are an independent comparison publisher covering online sportsbooks that accept Canadian bettors. We do not take bets, hold funds, issue bonuses or operate any gambling service. Every wager you place is a contract between you and the operator you signed up with, under that operator's own terms and conditions — not ours.

Who may use this site

Canadian Sportsbooks is intended for adults in Canada who are legally permitted to gamble where they live. The minimum legal gambling age is 19 in most provinces and territories, and 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. You are responsible for knowing the age and eligibility rules that apply in your own province or territory before opening an account anywhere we mention.

Legal standing of the sportsbooks we cover

The sportsbooks featured on Canadian Sportsbooks accept players from across Canada and operate under international licences issued outside this country. They are not licensed by a Canadian provincial regulator such as iGaming Ontario or a provincial lottery corporation, and an international licence is not approval, endorsement or oversight by any Canadian government body.

Canada's position on offshore betting sites is a grey area. The Criminal Code addresses the conduct of operators rather than individual bettors, and provinces run their own regulated markets alongside it. Provincial availability, product restrictions and consumer-protection rights therefore differ depending on where you live. Where a dispute arises with an offshore operator, your recourse runs through that operator's licensing authority and complaints process, not a Canadian regulator. Weigh that before you deposit.

Commercial relationships and how rankings are decided

Canadian Sportsbooks earns money through affiliate partnerships. If you follow a link from one of our tables or reviews and open an account, we may receive a commission from the operator. You pay nothing extra, and the terms you are offered are not changed by using our link.

Commission does not buy position. Operators cannot pay to be ranked higher, cannot approve our copy before publication, and cannot have a limitation removed from a review. Promotions change without notice. The figures on our pages are the headline offers as published by the operator at the time of our last check, dated in the page header. They are advertised maximums, not amounts you should expect to receive, and every one of them carries conditions set by the operator.

Conditions that matter: the boost is an "up to" figure. It scales with the number of legs and usually requires minimum odds per selection, and the extra is capped. Limitation: a combo-focused promotion is worth little to a bettor who sticks to single moneylines, and the highest boost tiers push you toward longer parlays than your bankroll may justify. Conditions that matter: the sport bonus is quoted up to €150, not CAD. Your effective value moves with the exchange rate and any conversion charge your funding method applies. Limitation: euro-denominated promotions are a genuine friction point for Canadians, and you should confirm whether your account can be held in CAD before depositing.

Betninja — large headline package, split across two products

Betninja is here for the size and flexibility of its welcome package: up to $2,500 plus 100 free spins, which is among the larger figures on our list. It suits a bettor who also plays casino games, because the spins are not wasted value in that case.

Conditions that matter: a package of that size is tiered and carries wagering requirements; the sports and casino portions typically clear at different rates, and sports bets often contribute less than slots. Limitation: a pure sports bettor will find part of the headline number irrelevant, and the rollover on a large bonus can outlast the period you intended to bet for. Money, payments and payouts

Using Canadian Sportsbooks costs you nothing. There is no subscription and no fee for reading a review or following a link. All costs sit with the operator you choose.

Deposit and withdrawal methods vary by sportsbook, but the options Canadians usually encounter at these international sites are Interac, bank cards, bank wire, money transfer, voucher or player-to-player transfer, and cryptocurrency.
